Woolworths Insurance is an Australian general insurance provider. It is part of the Woolworths Group that was founded in 1924 and has interests in both New Zealand and Australia.
Woolworths Insurance provides a wide array of insurance services. These include car, funeral, landlords, home, pet, life, and travel insurance covers.
Woolworths Insurance offers two types of insurance covers for individuals and families.
If you are diagnosed with a terminal illness or die suddenly, your beneficiaries will receive a lump sum ranging from $100,000 to $1.5 million. Your cover can help you take care of regular expenses such as the mortgage, your kids’ education, and your car payments.
The maximum life insurance benefit you can apply for depends on your age and income. If your age ranges from 18-45, you can apply for a maximum benefit of $1.5 million. For anyone whose age ranges from 46-55, the maximum benefit is $750,000. And if you are a bit older, and your age ranges from 56-65, the maximum benefit you can apply for is $500,000.
Funeral insurance from Woolworths Insurance will provide a lump sum benefit ranging from $3,000 to $15,000 for your loved ones within 2 business days in case you die. For the first 12 months, only accidental death will warrant compensation. But after that, any kind of death can trigger a claim.
And if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness, you will receive your selected benefit amount to help you meet your financial obligations. The funeral insurance cover from Woolworths can also be used to pay for end-of-life expenses. These may include your debts or legal fees.
Woolworths’ funeral insurance also helps in other situations including serious accidental injury. In that case, you will receive triple your benefit amount at no additional cost if the injury happens within 12 months of an accident. Your accidental death will also enable your beneficiaries receive triple the benefit amount. If you choose to add on children’s insurance, and your child suffers a serious injury or illness, you will get the compensation. Additionally, if your child dies accidentally from the first day of cover, or by any reason after 12 months of coverage, then you will also get a lump sum benefit.
This package comes with premium back guarantee, which means your loved ones will receive the benefit amount or total premiums paid – whichever is greater.
